Teaching Philosophy All students can learn! By understanding my students' needs I strive to build a learning environment that will benefit them both socially and academically. My favorite part of teaching is getting to know my students likes and dislikes so we can build our love of learning together. I will continually encourage students to take a risk in learning each day, to make mistakes and learn from them.
Dr. Seuss has a wonderful quote that I have posted in our classroom and it is one of my favorite quotes to talk about.
All About Me This will be my second year teaching at Grayling Elementary School. Last year I taught 4th grade and I am excited to expand my knowledge and skills this year in 3rd. Also, 4 years ago I had the pleasure of a year long substitute position in 3rd grade, so this is almost like a second year teaching 3rd graders! I studied Physical Education and Spanish at GVSU and recently completed my Elementary Education program as SVSU. My Strohpaul family consists of 4; my husband of 4 years, our son Russell who is 3, my dog Chewy, and myself. We love road trips, hikes, ice cream, beaches, and building forts. I am a runner and do my best to run almost everyday at 5am! And someday I hope to do a half marathon. Reading, being outdoors, gardening, baking, and hanging with family and friends makes me happy. :)
